Notes: Cards are blank-backed. These cards say 1952 Series at the bottom of the fronts. Other than that, these cards have the same design as the Anonymous Film Stars (Number in Star) set. This was evidently a second series of those cards. These cards have a white box with the star's name and recent movie on the front, with the number in a white star.

There were three Canadian sets issued with a number in star design in the early 1950s, all anonymous issues with blank backs. The thinner 30-card set was issued by Canadian Shredded Wheat in their breakfast cereal. The 48-card set and the subsequent 1952 48-card set were probably issued by Hamilton Chewing Gum. In his book "The Canadian Non-Sports Catalogue," author John Bell reports that a Hamilton wrapper has been seen for the 1952 set.
