Issuing Company: La Pie Qui Chante Country of Issue: France Year of Issue: 1933 Color/B&W: B&W Number of Cards in Set: 84 Card Size: 1 5/16" x 2 3/4" Issued as insert with what product: Chocolates |
Notes: An album was issued with this set. These cards show two views and are intended to be put into a stereoscope to be viewed in 3D. The pages of the album contain spaces for 14 cards per page, all showing scenes for a particular movie. The album contains 20 pages, with the first six showing the names of a film and the last 14 blank. It is surmised that only cards for the first six films were issued at the start of the promotion (84 cards), with extra pages for future films. It looks like no additional cards were ever issued.
Date info: All the films were released in 1932 or 1933, so I'm placing a date of 1933 on this set, though it could have been issued a year or two later.
Thanks to Serge Plumecocq for help with this checklist.
The name of the film and a number from 1-14 are on each card, so only the names of the films are on this checklist. There are 14 cards for each film.
