This series was issued with Between the Acts Little Cigars circa 1911-1912 by the American Tobacco Company.
The subjects are fifty actors who were well known for their performances, many in Shakespearean Theater,
in the mid-1800s to the early 1900s. Included are such luminaries as George M. Cohan, most famous for
his songs "Yankee Doodle Dandy" and "Over There," Maurice Barrymore, patriarch of the Barrymore
theatrical family, and Sir Henry Irving, a noted Shakespearean actor.
