Notes: Blank-backed. This is the first of three series of these cards in basically the same style. This set says "SET OF 48" in the bottom right corner. The second set says "NO. 2 SERIES" in the bottom right corner and is numbered from 49-96. The third set says "NO. 3 SERIES" in the bottom right corner and is numbered from 97-144. In the "SET OF 48" set, two different wordings seen in the text at the top of the cards - either "Presented by A. & B.C LTD., LONDON, N.W.2" or "Presented by A. & B.C CHEWING GUM LTD."
For the "SET OF 48" set, I checked 3 cards and all the movies mentioned were issued in 1953. The "SET OF 48" cards say the actor is "Starring in ..." the film listed, while the "NO. 2 SERIES" cards say the actor was "Last seen in ..." the film listed.
All cards in the SET OF 48 series are in color. Cards in the NO. 2 SERIES can be found in color or black and white and cards for the NO. 3 SERIES are only in black and white.
