Notes: This set consists of four series, Serie A through D, with each containing 50 cards for 200 total. Bensdorp also issued additional series E through H for a total of 200 more cards.
All have the name of the star printed at the bottom border and most (but not all) also the name of the firm Bensdorp. The same set can have both variations of the text, apparently without any logic.
There was an album issued for this set. The album holds all 200 cards. The album has a blue cover with the word “Filmo” printed in silver on it. It has an introductory page (with a photo of Greta Garbo as Queen Christina in the closing shot of the film of the same name) and three full-page b/w photos from various films (Paul Kemp and Marta Eggerth in “Die Csardasfürstin”, Greta Garbo again as Queen Christina (the same photo as before), Hermann Thimig and Renate Müller in “Viktor und Viktoria”) as well as an index and a blank page for autographs.
Date info: Jouni Kuurne offers the following date information. I would suggest a date of 1933–1934 at least for the Series A-D. The card F 272 shows Adolf Wohlbrück with his dog (the same photo was issued also as Ross postcard 8389/1); this photograph has been elsewhere dated to the early part of the year 1933.
