Notes: Checklist incomplete. These are postcards of scenes from Rudolph Valentino films including "Son of the Shiek" and "The Eagle." They were given out with Butywave Shampoo. They are unnumbered and all the titles are the same for each movie, so the checklist will be a picture checklist.
The text on the back states:
One of these beautiful reproductions of Rudolph Valentino’s love scenes is contained in every Butywave Shampoo Packet. 32 scenes in all. Each shampoo contains a different one. Note : if you buy 6 Butywave Shampoos you will be given a large Art Portrait (8 inches by 10 inches) of Rudolph Valentino ready for framing, free. Ask for it at the shop.
The backs of these are generally the same, though a card has been seen with a different back which has been posted presumably from the Head Office of Butywave Shampoo in London to someone entering the competition. Postmarked 1926 with the stamp 'British Goods are Best'. These have also been found with backs containing French text.
