Notes: Checklist Incomplete. Issued with Susini and Bock Ovalados Cigars. Henry Clay and Bock issued several different film card sets with very similar characteristics. They used the same back design on multiple sets, making identification a bit tricky. This set shows film scenes on the fronts with no caption. The backs show the card number, the star of the film, the name of the film, and the studio above a general ad for Susini and Bock Ovalados Cigars. Henry Clay and Bock issued another similar card set showing film scenes, but that set has a different back design with groups of Serie listed at the top. This set has no mention of any Series on the backs.
The cards from this set show film scenes. Though the backs list the main star of the film and the name of the film, the scene often shows other actors and actresses. Though the main star is usually in the picture, sometimes he or she is not shown.
The coloring on the card fronts for this set vary somewhat. Most of the cards I have seen are in black and white, with a very slight greenish tone to them. Those cards also have the back text in green ink. Other cards from this set have a definite black and white front, with black text on the back. I have seen one card from this set (#559) with a brown tone on the front and brown text on the back.
