Notes: Checklist incomplete. Blank-backed. Clovis put out mostly biscuit-style cards in the 1930s, but issued this set in more traditional card style after World War II.
Clovis was a company from the small town of Pepinster in Belgium that made chocolate candy. The company was in business from 1920 through 1966, when a large fire burned down the factory and put them out of business.
Date info: The Irene Dunne - Philip Dorn card shows a scene from the 1948 film "I Remember Mama." I'm placing a 1948 date on this set, though it could have been issued a year or two later.
