Notes: Checklist incomplete. The cards say they are from a series of 120. There is a mix of English and Chinese writing on these cards. For Hollywood stars, the movie star name is in English on the front. For Chinese stars, the movie star name is in Chinese on the front. The company name is written on the back in Chinese only.
According to the World Tobacco Index, there were multiple series of these issued, with four different subjects seen for some numbers. The WTI also calls this series Film Stars and Paintings, so there are apparently cards of paintings interspersed with the film stars.
Date info: Dorothy Mackaill and Sidney Blackmer starred together in two films, one in 1929 and the other in 1930. I'm placing a 1930 date on this set, though this could be off by a bit.
