Note: Paper-thin cards. Gallina Blanca issued two different large sets of cards featuring various topics, including film stars. There were albums issued with both sets.
The cards in the first album are in color. The first album contains 20 separate series of cards covering different topics. Serie 3 is titled "Estrellas de la Pantalla" (Screen Stars). Each card shows two film stars that were co-stars in a particular film. There are 10 cards in Serie 3. There are a total of 236 cards in the entire set.
The cards in the second album are in blue or green toned. The second album contained 87 separate series of cards covering different topics. Serie 48, 52, and 54 show film stars, with 12 cards in each series. Each card shows two film stars - a man and a woman. Serie 48 is reserved for film stars in the album, but the cards for Serie 48 can be found with both Serie 44 and Serie 48 on the back. Serie 44 was reserved for Spanish sites in the album. There were a total of 792 cards in the entire set.
Date info: For Album 1, there was a contest that ended on December 23, 1945 which was discussed in the album, dating the set to no later than 1945. For Album 2, a study of the soccer players indicates that they were from the 1947-1948 season, so I am placing a date of 1948 on that set.
