Notes: Checklist probably incomplete. These are very small cards designed to be stuck into an album that was issued with this set. There are two different styles for the fronts. One style has an artist palette design to the right of the film star name, while the other has a round design to the right of the film star name. There are at least two different back designs as well, with one containing a word and a number and the other just a stamped word.
The King name is on the album, but not on the cards themselves.
The album contains some text that shows that there was a prize scheme associated with this set. The translation of the text is as follows:
Great Gifts In conjunction with the January 1, 1927 Lottery, the following will be given: A complete football team A great ball A very cute sewing kit A magnificent doll A good rifle A gramophone A 25-peseta gold coin A small gold bracelet A gold seal ring A pair of boxing gloves To the holders of the albums whose numbers match the respective prizes of the draw indicated above. Condition Any card that is complete will be valid even if the cards are repeated
From this text, it sounds like collectors had to turn in complete albums of these cards to be eligible for a particular prize, then a winner was selected from the entries on January 1, 1927.
Date info: A date of January 1, 1927 is listed on a page in the album, but it looks like this is listed as the end date for this promotion, indicating this set was issued in 1926.
