French collector Serge Plumecocq shares some research on Salavin:

The Salavin chocolate shop was created in 1873 and still exists, some shops like the one on rue Ordener in Paris 18th continue to sell chocolate, tea, coffee and confectionery. In the 19th century, the factory and offices were located at 93-95 Avenue D'Orleans Paris 14th, for retail, 14 branches in Paris and its nearby suburbs shared the clientele. The brand won various medals at exhibitions in 1892 in Asnieres, in 1900 at the Universal Exhibition, and in 1903 in Paris.

Date info: I have placed a 1954 date on the Exona cards and since this is basically the same set, I'm placing a 1954 date on this set too.

Thanks to Serge Plumecocq for helping with this checklist.
