Daniel Kumermann reports that he bought these cards when they came out in Denmark in 1969 (just a few weeks before the communists closed the borders). This set appears to be the same as the Americana Kaugummi München Film Stars set from Germany, with Scan Gum information listed instead of Americana Kaugummi. Not all cards have been studied, but the numbering seems to exactly match the Americana Kaugummi set as well.
Date info: Though Daniel Kumermann reported that he bought these cards in 1969, it is more likely that the set was originally released in 1966, based on the people in the set. Most of the people and musical groups especially were at their peak in 1965 or early 1966. The Beatles are shown without facial hair and their haircuts fall in line with the 1966 time period. Gert Frobe had just had his signature movie role as Goldfinger in the James Bond movie in 1964. Freddie and the Dreamers were at their peak from 1963 to 1965. The Mersey Beats disbanded in early 1966. The Swinging Blue Jeans never had a song on the hit charts after 1966.
