According to a company letter, these were only given out in certain areas of England in a test campaign. I don't know if the test ever grew into a national promotion.
There was a brochure issued with the set. In the brochure, you could send in 4 cards and fill out a short questionaire and receive a 40cm x 50cm print of your choice of one of the stars in this set.
