Notes: Checklist incomplete. The backs for this set show the complete checklist for this set. Some of these card backs show Lon Chaney as the last name on the lower right colummn, while others have Lon Chaney removed from the checklist. Chaney died in 1930, so these cards may have been issued during that time period and he may have been removed from the set because of his death.
The backs state that collectors could order an album to hold the cards from this set, though the offer states that the album will hold 48 cards, while the set contains 50 cards.
Cards from the Kashin Motion Picture Stars set look a lot like cards from the Brody Motion Picture Stars set. Kashin cards have blank backs, while Brody cards can be found with printed backs or blank backs. The biggest difference between the two sets is that Kashin cards are slightly larger than Brody cards. This difference is often difficult to detect when looking at computer scans of a card or a group of cards. Both Kashin and Brody sets have a printed checklist listed (Kashin on the boxes and Brody on the cards themselves), yet both sets contain additional variations. Collector Pat Chiappetta reports that some of the exact same poses are in both sets.
