Issuing Company: Harlem-Adler & Co. (Haco) Country of Issue: USA (New York City) Year of Issue: 1948 Color/B&W: B&W Number of Cards in Set: Card Size: Issued as insert with what product: Buttons |
Notes: Checklist may not be complete. Blank-backed. These cards can be found in three different designs:
The same pictures are used within the different designs, though some changes happen at times. For example, on the black design, John Carroll is misspelled Carol, while on the white design, his name is spelled properly. Henry Fonda and James Stewart are listed in the film "A Miracle Can Happen" on the black design, while they are listed as in "On Our Merry Way" in the white design, with both showing the same picture. Marjorie Reynolds is in the white and designs, with the white design showing her film as "Badmen of Tombstone" and the blue design showing "Bad Men of Tombstone."
Something funny happened between the black and white designs, as four cards in black had the film title "A Miracle Can Happen" and then in the white the same four cards have film title of "On Our Merry Way." A check of IMDb shows that this was the same film which was released with either title.
Date info: The Horizontal Design cards and some of the Vertical white background cards contain a copyright date of 1948.
