Cartoon Chaplin Unnumbered Slanted Text Strip Cards

Year of Issue: 1920s
Color/B&W: Color
Number of Cards in Set: unknown
Card Size: 1 1/2" x 2 7/16"
Issued as insert with what product: Issued in strips by themselves with no other product. Cards are usually found cut apart.

Notes: Checklist incomplete. Blank-backed. Cards are in color, with many picturing cartoon drawings of Charlie Chaplin, with others showing another star whom I don't recognize. There are captions in slanted text and in all caps below the picture. The caption describes the scene on the card and does not identify the movie stars pictured.

These cards are related to the Cartoon Chaplin Blue Number Strip Cards set. Both sets share the same pictures, though I haven't seen enough cards to know if all the pictures are shared between the two sets. There are some changes to the captions between the two sets.

There was a booklet containing two copies each of 12 of these cards called "One Cent Charly Transfer Pictures."
