The backs of some of these state that there are 500 subjects in a complete set, though it is highly doubtful that all 500 cards were given out at the Colonial Theatre. If there were really 500 subjects printed, they were probably distributed in different ways. The backs also state that different cards will be given out at the theatre twice weekly.

The theatre that gave out these cards is identified as the Colonial Theatre on Central Ave. on the card backs. According to the Cinema Treasures website, the only Colonial Theatre on Central Ave. was located in Albany, New York. These cards were obtained from an ebay seller located in Albany, New York, so it is pretty certain that Albany was the location of this theatre.

It appears that other theatres also gave away these cards. A card has been seen with a hand stamp from the Grand View Theatre of Daly City, California. Another card has been seen with a hand stamp from the Empire Theatre, city unknown.

Date info: The films and show dates on the backs positively date these cards to 1914.
