Notes: Checklist probably not complete. These cards say Paramount Series in the bottom border. They were probably given out at various movie theaters throughout the country. Some are found with blank backs, and some have been seen with a stamped back which reads "Al Chamberlin's Loring & Columbia Where the Crowds Go." It is assumed that the Loring & Columbia was a movie theater and these cards were given out to patrons of the theatre.
There are two very similar sets of these cards. One of the sets is on regular cardboard thickness with slightly narrower dimensions than the other set (1 7/8" x 3"). The easiest way to tell the two sets apart is that the narrow set has the Paramount logo in between the words Paramount and Series on the cards.
Cards from the other Paramount Series set have also been seen with blank backs or with the same Al Chamberlin's Loring and Columbia stamp on the back. These cards are on thinner card stock and slightly wider (2" x 2 15/16"). On the wider set, the Paramount logo is on the left of the Paramount Series title.
Most of the cards from this set show the same poses as the Hoffmans Paramount Series set (found under the American Assorted section). The Hoffman cards are in color, while these are in black and white. There are some different poses between the groups.
Thanks to Richard Minns for help with this checklist.
