Notes: The title "Neue Filmstar-Bilder von Kunstlerhand" translates as "New Film Star Cards as drawn by Artists", a most unusual title for a most unusual series. This is another little-known issue from a well-known manufacturer of cigarettes. Backs provide a short biography of the star, along with advertising for the brand "Elton", and the possibility of buying an album for 80 pfennigs. No album has ever been seen, and only a small number of cards are known, with gaps up to number 38. The year is based on back descriptions. For example, Syliva Sidney is described as 20 years old. She was born in 1910, so this would make it 1930. However, several film titles mentioned on the back, such as "Menschen hinter Gittern" (Gustav Diessl, No. 21) and "Reserve hat Ruh" (Albert Paulig, No. 38) came out in 1931, so this was probably the year of issue.
